"Ayesha is honest, kind and immensely supportive. Our sessions were always relaxed and open but challenging at the same time. My sessions weren’t just about talking - she gave me invaluable yet simple tools to get out there and make things happen and to confidently drive the changes I wanted in both my personal and professional life. I’m extremely grateful I had Ayesha’s support and expertise and would highly recommend her to any working parent."
Natasha, marketing director
"I had a great session with Ayesha who was helping with my confidence after coming back from maternity leave. As a working mum herself she was empathetic and really listened to my concerns. She was constructive and supportive in helping me shape how I see my career going for the next 6/12 months. I would highly recommend her for anyone needing similar support."
Jenni, senior marketing manager
"Ayesha asks the right questions, pushes you outside your comfort zone and holds you accountable, which is a hard balance to strike. She helped me see my own potential and unlock possibilities by prompting my own reflection in the dedicated time I have had with her every month. She has also been a great inspiration in her brave approach to life and career and I feel very lucky to have met her at what was a momentous part of my life."
Emma, marketer turned entrepreneur
Before retraining as a coach, I spent 23 successful years in marketing (with a few breaks which I’ll come on to!), ten years of which were as a full-time working mum.
I worked mainly in the telco sector, but also for the civil service, charities and agency-side. I loved the buzz, the energy of being part of a team and the feeling of achievement.
As a Head of Marketing, my style of leadership was empathetic, inclusive and honest. My joy came from seeing my team succeed, both at work and at home. I didn’t know then that what I was doing had a name: coaching!
I was also a mentor as part of the Bloom Network, for women in communications, supporting younger women in marketing find their path.
A couple of times during my career, I felt like I was on the wrong path. So I took time off to try something different - I trained as a massage therapist and as a TEFL teacher - but I always gravitated back to marketing as it's easy to stick with what you know.
However, I knew that people was my passion, so when, during my final corporate role, a restructure happened, I took the offer of redundancy so that I could start my coaching qualification and launch my own practice. I’ve genuinely never looked back.
What Drew You To Coaching?
During my corporate career, coaching was inherent to my leadership style. When I look at which parts of my job excited and energised me, it was always developing my team, helping them be the best versions of themselves. So when I re-evaluated my career and the opportunities available to me, coaching was a natural progression.
Early on in my coaching career, I realised that I was attracting working parents, generally from the corporate world. Helping them navigate the challenges of maintaining a fulfilling career alongside having a family is something I fully empathise with.
I meet amazing people every day, people like you, who believe that parenthood shouldn’t be a barrier to a successful career. I’m privileged to be part of their journey and when I see the transformation they’re creating in their lives, it’s truly uplifting.
That’s why I do what I do.
