It’s OK to want more.

It’s OK to have worked really hard to get to where you are but still want something different.

It’s OK to pause and think “Is this it? This isn’t what I thought it would be.”

We’ve been encouraged to climb the career ladder in one direction.

We’ve been told that success is promotions, job titles, more money, more responsibility.

We’ve been conditioned to think we should be grateful. That we should be happy with what we’ve got, even if it’s no longer working for us.

But the great news is that YOU get to decide what success looks like for you.

YOU get to decide to change your mind or change direction.

YOU get to decide if you want to move sideways or diagonally or to just pause.

I’ve changed careers 3 times and each time it has been life-affirming and amazing and hard and fascinating and a bit scary.

But each time I always knew it was the right decision because where I was pivoting from was no longer serving me.

So if where you are in your career is no longer working for you, just know that it is OK to want more.

And once you accept that it’s OK, you can start putting your time and energy into designing a working life that you are really excited about. One that fulfils you and allows you to tap into the amazing potential that you know you have inside.
