Guilt and shame are NOT a “normal” part of motherhood – we feel these emotions because we have been conditioned from birth into believing the perfect mother myth. The Western paradigm of motherhood is one of near-impossible standards. So, in striving for these we inevitably fail, leading to feelings of guilt and shame.

In short, IT’S NOT OUR FAULT.

We are mothering in a system that is set up to fail mothers.

BUT with awareness and determination we CAN reclaim our power and flourish.
