Testimonials

I worked with Linda for almost a year. At the beginning I had never held a management position or worked with a team but during the year we did so much and I learnt to listen to my team and reflect on my own work. Over the year I had two promotions and my international team were commended on their work. Thank you Linda.

Beth starting a new leadership role

Linda is very organised, she worked with me to manage my workload, helped me organise my day and identify what is important to me. I doubted myself in my new role and Linda helped me develop confidence in my decisions as I doubted myself in my new role.

Rose starting a new role as a senior leader

I recently finished a series of sessions with Linda and I feel so different. I knew I needed someone to talk to about how I was feeling and my overall wellbeing but was not sure what this would be like. Linda was so kind, helpful and made me feel safe. We talked through my problems slowly and carefully and Linda helped me try techniques and exercises that made such a difference. I know I can use these whenever I feel stressed or life gets difficult again and I know I can work with Linda again if I need to.

    Professional Background

For most of my career I have been in education, with a few years in the oil industry.

I have a postgraduate degree in a specialist branch of geology and a higher education teaching diploma plus other professional courses.

My first qualified post was in the oil industry In Houston, Texas, USA where I worked as a geologist. This gave me some valuable industry experience working in a completely different culture, but my main love was working with people and after some time I came back to the UK to train as a higher education lecturer.

I worked in the secondary sector for a few years and then secured an academic post at The Open University. Thus, within the education sector, my experience includes working in the higher education sector with adult learners, teaching within the secondary sector and wide experience in governance.

As an academic in higher education, I started as a member of the science faculty but later moved to a small unit within the university that was involved in strategic planning to research, develop and integrate innovative curricular initiatives across the tertiary sector. This involved working as project leader with multi-discipinary teams, agencies and industry. My work was a researcher and leader in skills development and assessment and my role involved leading change and working with individuals to manage that change. Alongside this, I was heavily involved in developing professional training programmes that enabled me to develop a deep understanding of the importance of how continuous professional development can empower individuals.

In recent years, I have been involved as a governor and trustee at a multi-academy trust. I have worked as chair of a variety of committees, including education and personnel, and vice-chair of the trust, and been involved in recruitment, strategy development and professional development as well as research and development.

This wealth of experience has enabled me to help and support a wide variety of individuals, including executives and leaders, to work on their goals and develop their potential as well as their leadership development.

    What drew you to coaching?

My academic career ended prematurely when I became a full time carer for my husband. Some years later, I knew I wanted to re-start my career working as a coach and feeling fully aligned to my true self. I re-trained as a leadership and wellbeing coach to help and support women as they navigate their professional and personal life and look after their own wellbeing.

As a coach, I understand how difficult it can be in career and life to make decisions and maintain personal wellbeing. My career in the education sector revealed the difference that can be made through coaching and the impact for individuals.

Some clients are in business, others come privately wanting to create life on their terms. Whoever, I work with, I love helping people and have much to give.

I offer 1 to 1 bespoke coaching meeting regularly over a period of time, usually on zoom. We co-create a personalised plan to meet your needs and goals. Everyone is different and we all bring a different story and experience to the table. My goal is your goal and we work on our inner strengths as well as making the strategic shifts to help you achieve and thrive successfully.

As part of our work, your wellbeing is also my priority and I work with you to maintain a deep sense of gladness, independent of circumstance. Through personalised guidance and support, I help you enhance your physical, mental and emotional health, fostering a balanced and fulfilling life.
