“The empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and beautiful beyond description” – Steve Mariboli.

Self-empowerment is a powerful tool for personal transformation. It is the ability to take charge of your life and become your own best advocate. It gives you the confidence to make decisions that are right for you and to take actions that will help you reach your goals.

Making a conscious decision to take back control of your life will give you the springboard you need to step into your power.

If you’re feeling:

  • like you’re not in control of your life;
  • exhausted and frustrated;
  • overwhelmed by the number of things that you have to do or;
  • that you are tending to everyone else’s needs first at the expense of your own health and wellbeing.

Your energy is being drained by you spending time doing things that are not aligned to your values and goals. You can start to address this by writing a list of all the things that drain your energy and then make a list of all the things that bring you joy!  Start to do more of the things that light you up!

Tips to Stepping into your power!

With my clients I find that getting clear on who they are and what their skills are, then enables them to identify their goals and use the tools and techniques that we identify are right for them to start to create the life they desire.

It starts with taking ownership of your life. Be mindful of the thoughts and decisions you make. Learn to trust yourself and your own judgement. Set realistic goals and take action to reach them. Believe in yourself and your worth.

Being able to adapt to overcome obstacles and challenges is key to your personal growth and in turn you will strengthen your resilience.

Self-empowerment also requires self-care. Take care of your physical and mental health.

Prioritise ‘me time’ and engage in activities that bring joy and happiness.

Surround yourself with people who lift you up and be open to learning and growing.

Be kind to yourself we’re all human and doing the best that we can.  Recognising that it’s natural to have self-doubt or for motivation levels to vary from one day to the next and giving yourself permission to accept this will support you to step into the daily rhythm of life.

I recommend using the tools below to support you:

  1. Establish clear boundaries.  What are your non-negotiables and stick to them!
  2. Find a way to saying no in a way that feels right for you.  Practice saying no in the mirror so, that you feel comfortable with the uncomfortable.
  3. Create a positive mindset through the use of affirmations.
  4. Journalling will help you to get clarity on what you want.

Simplification is key to success!

Embrace the journey of self-empowerment. Enjoy the ride and celebrate your successes along the way.  You are powerful in your own right!
