Isabel joined the FT in 1999 from the Independent on Sunday, where she was business editor. She held several senior editing roles on FT Weekend and the Opinion desk before taking up the role of Work & Careers Editor at the Financial Times, overseeing a department that covers management, leadership, working life, graduate careers – and the huge issue of the future of work. She is editorial co-lead on the 50/50 Equality Project, which works towards more representation of diverse voices in the FT, and is editorial lead for the FT Women in Business Forum.

Jane Johnson

Jane is the founder of Careering into Motherhood. She spent 20 years in the City advising senior leaders on marketing & communications strategy, she was the first person to negotiate her Global Director role as a job-share, for one of the world’s largest banks where she experienced first-hand how a parental leave experience can make or break women’s careers. The idea for Careering into Motherhood was born out of frustration after seeing how hard it is for women to continue their careers after children. She leads the community of over 20,000 women, and a cohort of over 50 Professional Coaches, she consults and advises our corporate partners, and is the host of the Careering into Motherhood award-winning podcast.
