Professional Background

My background is in teaching. I was a primary school teacher for 12 years and once I had my third child, I decided to focus on my passion for music, teaching the piano, and doing accompanying work in schools. I very much understand the challenges that go hand in hand with being a parent and wanting a fulfilling professional life.

Before embarking on the wonderful journey of becoming a coach, I completed Level 2 and 3 qualifications in counselling skills and studies. Whilst this does not make me a qualified counsellor, it does equip me with the relevant listening, questioning and empathic rapport building skills that are so important in coaching.

I have been sober since 2018, having been a grey area drinker since my teens, and I have been specifically trained to work with people during their early stages of sobriety and beyond.

Giving up alcohol changed my life, so I am excited to be a part of my clients' journeys to achieve the same goal! After I gave up drinking alcohol, I decided I wanted to help others who were on the same journey. I gained a distinction in my Personal and Performance Life Coach Diploma with an add-on qualification in Addictive Behaviours, so I am now equipped to help others on the path that I once took.

What Drew You To Coaching?

I have always known that empowering adults - be it friends or colleagues - to reach positive goals and successes has been a passion of mine. I count myself so fortunate to be able to focus on my clients’ individual stories so that we can create a tailor-made programme to move them forward with their goals.

My empathic, supportive and trustworthy nature enables clients to share their experiences with me early on so that we can be proactive together in getting their goals met.

I am an adaptable and experienced coach, offering individual and group programmes. My sessions with clients are ever-evolving in order to move from the critical early stages of changing their relationship with alcohol, into the more holistic elements of how their lives are changing for the better - and I am with them as their supportive cheerleader, shining a light on their transformational journey, every step of the way.

My ultimate goal is to coach others in the way that I needed to be coached, all those years ago.
