Testimonials

"I’ve really valued working with Laura. She had a brilliant ability to help me take a step back, look at the challenges I was facing in a way that then helped me move forward. I really recommend Laura’s approach for anyone considering coaching."

Client in Charity Sector navigating team challenges

"I met Laura at a very challenging point in my career when I was at a crossroad and unsure of where I wanted to go and having left a very toxic work environment. She helped me focus on my goals and aspirations and helped me rebuild my confidence in my own ability and more. During my time with Laura I gained confidence to engage in speaking events, push myself out of my comfort zone and even secured new employment. Coaching was a huge part of that journey and I’m very grateful for her support, coaching and kindness during those challenging months."

Client in healthcare sector having exited a job following a very toxic situation, and now looking to find a new position

"I embarked on a series of coaching sessions when facing the daunting prospect of securing a job after an extended maternity break. I found Laura to be hugely supportive. She has a great style: providing gentle nudges of encouragement to help me move forward, leaving me feeling capable and energised. Her coaching is intelligent, appropriate and sincere. She doesn't try to micro-manage you, she creates the space for you to operate. I thoroughly recommend her to anyone who wants to make a change, no matter what stage you are at."

    Professional Background

My early career was spent in at Tesco.com in the early days of online shopping. I joined on the graduate scheme and later was part of the marketing team where I ran the online marketing and email marketing channels. It gave me a solid grounding in corporate life and I learnt some great core marketing skills.
My sense of adventure got the better of me and I spent my late twenties living and working in Tokyo, running the Consumer Practice of a boutique Executive Search firm. I loved the melting pot of cultures and different working styles and was lucky enough to work with some amazing people from all over the world.
My return to the UK saw me progress my career in Search, working across a range of sectors and with a wide range of professionals, from early stage career to top level Executives.
My focus then turned to my family, and I have enjoyed bringing up my children in their early years. During this time I have volunteered as a Parent Gym Coach, (a parenting programme funded by Mind Gym), working with parents of primary school age children, to increase parenting skills and confidence. I am also a mentor for the Prince’s Trust.

    What drew you to coaching?

My journey to becoming a Coach began a long time ago. I have always loved people. I’m a natural extrovert and I’m fascinated by working out what makes people tick. I love nothing more than spending time with my friends and family, and professionally I’ve always enjoyed coaching and developing people.

Back in 2012 I did the I did the Certificate Coaching Course at the Academy of Executive Coaching (AOEC). I have now furthered that qualification with the AOEC Practitioner Diploma. This accredited qualification has enabled me to weave the many different threads of my experience, both professionally and personally into my coaching style. I am warm and empathic with a dose of challenge, always working in support of my clients.

Clients are typically bright, capable, and courageous mid-senior female leaders, often in a period of transition and change in both their professional and personal lives. I work as a thought partner with my clients and am flexible and intuitive in my approach, working with them to find solutions to a range of challenges including: increasing influence, team management and motivation, confidence building, and career transition and change.
