Testimonials

"I would recommend anyone who needs personal direction, professional development or support to refocus and plan to have some sessions with Beth. You will be amazed at how empowered and focused you feel at the end, yet the process felt as easy and comfortable as chatting to a friend. Her strength is also in being able to assess, not just your needs but how you will work best to achieve them. I have defaults that I fall back on and there were times when Beth would not let me default to them, instead challenging me to approach points from multiple angles and with a variety of considerations."

Jo

"My coaching sessions with Beth gave me the space to think and she was such a fantastic support for me through everything professionally and personally, including pregnancies, onwards into parenthood, and through the COVID pandemic. Her coaching approach provided amazing support through these life events and the challenges I faced. She encouraged me to be the best I could be both in my personal life and career."

Sheena

"After a career change and with two children I was constantly fighting a battle of compromise at home and at work. Beth’s facilitated and flexible approach enabled me to break everything down into its place and I found some of the basics she took me back to really challenging as I hadn’t considered them for so long. She was easy to open up to and gave me time where I needed it, but she was also very astute in selecting the areas that needed more probing and really wouldn’t let me off the hook regarding points that I would have skimmed over."

    Professional Background

Prior to becoming a coach, I worked in sports development with my specific area of expertise being in coach and leadership development. I worked in a series of local and national roles across the UK, with the last 12 years leading the coach development team within sportscotland, our national agency for sport.

The 25 years I spent in sports development, operating at all levels, from grass roots to performance sport, ignited my passion for self-improvement and supporting individuals to achieve their full potential.

The areas I found most rewarding where supporting individuals to improve their own personal performance which naturally progressed into executive coaching.

A keen all-round sports woman, I was fortunate to represent Scotland in Rugby Union on many occasions and this experience has been invaluable in my development as a coach, enabling me to draw the parallels between high performance sport and business.

On a personal level, my partner Nicky and I have two young children who keep us on our toes and ensure there is fun around every corner.

    What drew you to coaching?

I am passionate about people development and everyone achieving their full potential. Only when I became a mother myself did I realise the constant compromise mums have to make, at home and at work: making concessions on career ambitions, lack of confidence, ‘mum guilt’, loss of identity, time management to name but a few!

I believe it doesn’t have to be this way. I help mums focus their energy and expertise in the right areas to excel at work and at home.

In 2012, I did a course on neuro linguistic programming (NLP) and realised the power your thoughts, emotions and internal language have on your results. This, along with experience in psychometric profiling and broader leadership training, give me a broad base of skills and expertise to ensure I can support my clients in the way most suited to them and supporting them in achieving excellent results.

In addition to sport and the leisure industry, my client base includes financial services, the NHS and businesses owners.
