Testimonials

"I started working with Amy at a time of deep personal and professional change. I was recently bereaved and my team was going through a re-organisation. Amy's structured and confident approach, combined with her exceptional emotional intelligence, made her the perfect person to guide me through this career transition. Thanks to her support I was able to step back, reflect, and eventually find my dream job. Amy truly is amazing and I can't recommend her highly enough."

Executive Director, Obesity Empowerment Network

"My coaching sessions with Amy have been a highly informative and effective way to identify my strengths and weaknesses, but more importantly my transferable skills. The experience has been instrumental in transforming how I think about what I can offer and therefore the career opportunities available to me. Amy is an approachable, experienced individual and I would not hesitate to recommend her."

Solicitor, private practice

"I met Amy just a few days before my interview for my current role. I was filled with doubts and the monstrous imposter syndrome. Meeting Amy was like a breath of fresh air; after a brief discussion about my career, why I wanted this job and what I thought I could bring to the role, she worked with me building my self-belief in my own ability. She gave me lots of tips on interview techniques too. Spending a couple of sessions with Amy enabled me to kick the imposter syndrome! I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Amy in the journey of securing my dream job."

    Professional Background

I have 18 years’ experience working with leading global and UK brands. I have an MSc in Occupational Psychology and was an Organisational Psychologist at the BBC. I then worked at Cancer Research UK, Europe’s leading charity, for ten years, becoming the Learning & Development Business Partner for Fundraising.

Throughout my career I’ve designed and delivered workshops at all levels of the organisation, from team building for senior leadership teams to management training on a range of skills. I’ve designed and facilitated a range of director-level events, ranging from individual development to team building workshops. I’ve led large-scale assessment and development centres, including the Journalism Trainee Scheme at the BBC, and acted as a change agent to support high profile change programmes such as Cancer Research UK’s move to the world-class Francis Crick Institute.

I’m an expert in senior level facilitation, leadership development and career coaching. I design and facilitate team and organisational development initiatives, helping organisations to maximise the performance of their people. I’ve coached senior leaders from a range of organisations, helping them to identify their key drivers and supporting them to find a practical and rewarding balance in life.

As part of my coaching I also offer psychometric profiling, to help you identify your strengths and development areas and help you navigate the next step in your career. I’m also an experienced Action Learning Facilitator and am qualified to use a range of psychometric tools including the OPQ, MBTI and FIRO-B.

    What drew you to coaching?

I help people perform brilliantly at work. I empower and enable people to meet their potential in their career – whether that’s through a change in direction, returning to work after extended leave, or navigating imposter syndrome and other challenges that can hold us back. I love inspiring people to take action and make a change. Small changes collectively add up to make a big impact.

I believe we always have a choice in our career. We spend 80,000 hours at work over our lives. Let’s make sure we’re doing something we think is worthwhile – something we love, something we’re good at, or something that will make a difference in the world.

I love working with coaching clients to help them tap into their core values – what matters most to them – and helping them translate that into the next step in their career. I’m passionate about flexible working, empowering people to find a balance that works for them, their organisation, and their career path.

I help my coaching clients to work through a broad range of issues, including navigating career change; returning to work following parental leave or extended time with family; beating imposter syndrome and self-doubt; identifying next steps following redundancy; and leadership challenges at work including influencing upwards, delegating and maximising team performance.
