Testimonials

"The 'parenting through divorce' sessions gave me the opportunity to pause for an hour every week and to look at myself as a parent going through a separation. This was invaluable as it’s so easy to be swept up in all the different emotions that the separation was creating. It helped me focus on my child in a positive, nurturing and more understanding way. My son and I have both benefited enormously as a result of Heather’s experience, teaching and support. I would highly recommend the course."

Rachael

"Heather came to my house and did three private sessions to help me learn the art of positive parenting. Before we met, I had no idea how to keep calm in those heated moments with a toddler or even what the term descriptive praise meant! But in just three sessions she has helped me enormously and as a result, our home is a calmer, happier environment, and the challenges we face as a parent of a very spirited little character we are able to tackle in a positive way which is incredible. I would wholeheartedly recommend Heather to any other parent out there that needs an expert’s advice and guidance. She is super creative at conjuring up fun ideas and nifty tricks to try with particular issues you may be experiencing. Heather was a pleasure to work with and I hope to continue with her in the future."

Sarah

"I have recently completed a six-week one-to-one parenting course with The Parenting Partnership and I cannot recommend this highly enough! Heather's positive attitude and ability to make the course enjoyable, interactive and thought-provoking has given me a much better understanding of my son, what drives his behaviour and how to respond in challenging situations. In particular, I found the six sessions to be very informative and that the practical exercises supported and re-enforced the learning."

    Coaching Qualifications

    Professional Background

Before becoming a parenting coach, I spent 20 years in finance in several roles, including corporate finance and institutional equity sales both in New York and London. I enjoyed the challenge of working with exceptional people in interesting businesses and a day did not go by when I wasn’t learning something new. I am a lifelong learner.

I left the corporate world after the birth of my third child and was involved in several charities until I found my passion in parenting educating and coaching.

I trained and worked with The Parent Practice in London for several years and set up my own business in 2016. I give talks, run workshops and courses, but my passion is coaching parents one-to-one or in couples.

I am continually training and educating myself so that I may bring all the benefits of the very latest research on child development and neuroscience to my clients.

    What drew you to coaching?

I found the transition from being a successful senior businesswoman to being a mother with a career really hard. I had always been good at the things I pursued with definite perfectionist tendencies, but motherhood was much more complicated, messier, and more difficult than everyone seemed to let on. My expectations were also out of line.

I found help and hope through the parenting coaching that I received. The practical tools and strategies that I learned helped transform my approach and my young family, and gave me the confidence to know that I did not need to be perfect; my kids needed good enough.

I am fascinated by the science and research behind how we parent, and I wanted to share how we can put the science into everyday practical transformational parenting skills. I love supporting parents on their own journey to becoming calm confident parents who not only find joy in being parents but are able to approach the inevitable juggling of life with careers and family with more confidence, creativity and compassion.

I find coaching parents on experiencing separation and divorce particularly rewarding.

Parents thrive, their careers thrive, their relationships thrive and their kids thrive.
